The SOM-6938 is a COM Express Type 2 Compact System on Module, powered by an Intel Atom Cedar Trail platform. It has an onboard Intel Atom N2800/D2550 CPU with 4GB memory and integrated Intel GMA 3650/3600 Graphic Controller all in one chip. This increases computing power and graphic performance. The graphics controller is also capable of 1080p high definition display for high quality video playback.
Paired with a COM Express carrier board, the SOM-6938 can support up to 4GB DDR3 on board memory for optimal performance. With 8x USB 2.0 ports, 1x gigabit Ethernet , 5x PCIe, 4x PCI, 4x SATAII, 1x VGA, 1x LVDS, 2x DDI(HDMI/DVI/Display Port) , 1x LPC, this SOM is scalable & highly-compact.
The rich I/O makes the System On Module a fascinating solution for many embedded applications, such as handheld terminals, digital signage, automobile, digital control, interactive client, media player, advertising, LCD screen, transportation, information control, banking and many others.
